Spring Show 18

Fair to say things have been a little quiet since Ultimate Dubs. I know, I know, things will be changing very soon. With summer only around the corner I’ll soon find myself going to more shows than I can cover! Don’t worry, we’ve got a lot of cool plans coming up for you all this year.

With that said though, there is a fair few meets popping up up and down the country already to get us excited about whats to come this year. One of these meets is Spring Show, hosted by The Wheel Specialists down in Fareham.

A charity fund raiser, Spring Show takes place once a year and has been going on now for a couple of years now. We’ve never been before, so I was keen to pop down and make the most of the day! I’ve seen Slam Sanctuary’s coverage of the meet from the previous years too, so I knew it was going to be one to pop down to myself this year. It was refreshing for the meet to take place on Saturday rather than Sunday too, as it gave me a chance to edit our film and take care of some of the photos on the Sunday. I’ve also bought a new lens for show which I was really keen to test out, and luckily for me there was a nice selection of cars on display for me to shoot.

Let’s take a look!

Ahhh the E34. Arguably my favorite BMW shape, with this one having the M60 V8 (540i) lump available in the later models. Bucket list car, for sure.

Even rarer is Lukas’ LHD 6 speed 540i Touring, imported straight from Germany. This is a pretty special car, and definitely deserves the Unicorn label that’s given to the rarer, most desirable cars out there.

Hopefully I can have a better look around it at the Retro Rides gathering this coming Sunday.

Anyway, back to the cars at Spring Show. As you can see, there was a lot more there than just classic BMWs (even if I naturally gravitate towards them!)

Who doesn’t love low static Japanese cars, right? What about jacket up Japanese cars?

I always find myself obsessing over static motors. While impressive boot builds and arch to lip fitment gets any car enthusiast interested, it’s always a treat to see static cars rolling down the road.

Nice sticker on that air tank, where’d you get it?

I don’t think I helped myself by parking next to a flawless M3.

I think that’s a fitting picture to wrap it up on!

Thanks a lot to the Spring Show team for chucking the day on, can’t go wrong with some great cars and great people. Atmosphere was spot on and we’ll definitely be coming back next year!

Take a look at our film from the day, it’s gotten some really good feedback so far and it gets me excited to make more films for you all this year!

Thanks for reading, we’ll see you on Sunday for Retro Rides at Goodwood.
